A combination of approaches and processes is required to support effective transition and continuity of learning.

Monmia Primary School develops and maintains respectful, trusting and supportive relationships among all those working with children and their families.

Processes are adapted in response to individual children. Children and families who require additional support are identified early, and support is planned and delivered through a collaborative approach.

A Foundation Parent/Guardian Information Session is delivered at the end of October of each year, providing all families with key information needed about their child starting school.

Children transitioning from Kindergarten to Primary School will have the opportunity to take part in 3 orientation sessions commencing early November and parents/guardians will be supported with 3 short information sessions on Literacy, Numeracy and AusParenting. 

Students transitioning from one year level to the other each year are supported through a robust Learning Buddy process and step us session/s.
